Meet the RAs! - Kathy Grimes

SIU Residence Life has some outstanding Resident Assistants, and we want to show our appreciation by featuring them on our blog. We also hope people who are considering applying for the RA position will take a minute to check out the people who could be their future co-workers! · What’s your name?  Kathy Grimes

· Where are you from?  Bloomington, Illinois

· What’s your major?  Computer and Electrical Engineering (minor in CS and Math)

· What is your favorite dining hall food(s)?  Pulled-pork and Pasta Night (Alfredo Sauce is Awesome!) and I love making my own fruit drink with 50% Orange Juice, 25% Cranberry, 25% Grape and a splash of strawberry

· Where is your favorite place to go off-campus?  My friends' homes

· Where do you see yourself in 10 years?  Working as a engineer on electronic design (for chips and integrated circuits)

· What do you like about being an RA?  Meeting lots of people and making a bunch of friends! You also get to be very creative.

· Favorite quote?  Genius is 1% Inspiration and 99% Perspiration (Thomas Edison)

· Best study spot on campus?  my room or in an engineering lab

· How else are you involved at SIU (besides being an RA)?  I am in a couple RSOs and I like to help out at their events.
