Meet the RAs! - Tomesha Plunkett

SIU Residence Life has some great things going on, and we want to showcase some of our proud moments on our blog. We also hope people considering working in RA, graduate assistant, or full-time positions with our department will take a minute to learn more about the things we are doing. As we recruit new Resident Assistants for the 2014-2015 year, we wanted to introduce a few of the talented individuals currently on our team. This profile features Tomesha Plunkett, Resident Assistant in Mae Smith Hall!


1. What's your name? Tomesha Plunkett

2. Where are you from? Chicago,IL

3.What's your major? English Education

4.What is the best program or event you've been to on campus? The best event that I went to on campus was the Pram Event (pRAm is a dinner/dance for Residence Life staff, held at the conclusion of spring training)

5. The last book I read for fun was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

6. The best part about being an RA is being able to inspire.

7. How else are you involved at SIU? I was in film club, lifesavers, and salsa club.

8. In 10 years I see myself teaching and also in my spare time acting.

10. When I am stressed I unwind by writing or drawing.
